Kik let loose a low sigh from her vantage point on the kitchen counter, barefooted and clad in a pair of simple gray sweatpants and black tank top, wrists resting lightly atop her bent knees. "Sheesh..." She exhaled sharply, ragged bangs fluttering, before settling over her for once, glasses-less eyes. The weather conditions weren't favorable for going outside- not in the least bit so. Gray skies, fog- no sounds other than the occasional crow cawing. The youth's ears perked, piercings clinking together before coming to a rest against short fur once again. "Tch..." Kik hated being alone on days like these.
*the door burst open, and wind began howling in behind him* God dammit! It is windy out there! *he shut the door, and headed up to the bar, unaware of the werewolf sitting upstairs in the kitchen* We need a fire in here! *he walked over to the fireplace, and threw some wood on, before igniting a starter log, and sitting back on the couch*
A grin instantly split across the girl's face, and she hopped off the normally clean countertop (now marred with her footprints) without delay, one hand reaching up to push her dark rimmed glasses back down over her eyes. Ears swiveled forwards, a fresh surge of happy energy running through her veins, Kik tromped down the stairs, calling out the man's name as she did so. "Oii~ Belfe! You're back!" She laughed out, jumping down the last two steps leading to the bar area, "And here I was, beginnin' ta wonder if you'd jus' run off again," The girl smirked, clapping a hand down onto the back of the couch, a hip thrown off to one side.
Aye. Sorry to leave so often. But you know, duty calls! *he scootched over on the couch to make room for Kik to sit with him* Here, join me why dont you? The fire is just starting to blaze up. I would like some company. *he then patted the couch cushion next to him for emphasis*
A split second later, and Kik had planted herself next to Belfegore, feet tucked beneath herself, forehead butted against the other's shoulder. "Yea', I guess I can supply ya' with tha'." She sighed, rolling her shoulders and shifting herself against the cushions of the couch.
*he smiled as she showed him a certain amount of friendly affection. It had indeed been a while since the two had spent time together. Though maybe there was a reason for that, since he seemed to recall a certain amount of overdrinking, and information oversharing last time they were alone* Ah. I love gloomy days, you bundle up inside, get nice and comfy, and just relax. Its nice...
"Mmm..." The girl gave a slight sound of non-commitment. It wasn't that she disliked days like these- it was nice to curl up and just laze about-- but spending them alone was a whole 'nother story. Kik thrived on contact, and was simply miserable without it.Which was why she was allowing herself to lean so close to Belfegore, even going so far as to allow her tail to drape itself across his lap and her own. "Yea'... they aren't bad. 'S nice to see someone else around here though. Didn't wanna go wake Kara up, 'cos I know she'd get all pissy with me for doin' tha'," She mumbled, shifting her feet where her bum was currently resting on them.
*he closed his eyes and leaned his head against Kik's, feeling the warmth on his lap from her tail as it came to rest across them both* Yeah, an angry Kara isnt much fun to hang out with at all now is she? *he began thinking of all of the different types of people who used to enter the bar* I wonder why our customer rates decreased, we used to get a fair amount of business, where did they go?
Kik snickered lightly, nodding her agreement, "Yea', it's no good ta' get Kara upset." Her smile was quick to fade at the mentioning of their current lack of customers though, and she huffed quietly, brows furrowing in on themselves. "Yea'. Don't remind me about it." She grumbled, scratching lightly at one exposed arm. "I have no idea why things'r so slow right now. It doesn't make sense. I don't know. Maybe more people 'r joinin' the AA or somethin'."
Argh. AA, fucking customer thieves. Maybe we should raid the next meeting. And give free kegs! *he smiled at his own lame joke, hoping to cheer Kik up, as she seemed to be feeling the same as the weather outside*
